In this 5-day outdoor day camp, students will engage in the experience of being outside and connecting with nature and with each other. While wandering through the Filoli Historic Garden, young students will begin to explore learning about wild animals and plants of the region, play games that deepen sensory awareness, sing songs, hear stories, and engage in hands-on projects. With young students, more emphasis will be placed on experiential activities such as: exploring the creek, playing with mud, looking for salamanders and bugs, going on slow wanders through the forest, and doing age appropriate crafts. Each day will feature a new skill or activity, while building on the core routines that form the foundation of nature learning!
