Create, Layer, Mix

Our Mixed Media Art Camp is a high-energy maker space where students aren't limited to a single medium. This program is designed for young artists of all skill levels who want to experiment with various techniques and materials to build a strong artistic foundation in a fun, supportive environment.

Instruction & Creative Exploration

Our instructors guide students through each step of the artistic process, helping them discover their own unique style. We provide all materials, allowing students to experiment with supplies as they explore:

• Layered Techniques: Combining acrylics, ink, and collage to create depth.

• 3D Construction: Exploring sculpture and form using wire, clay, and found objects.

• Technical Skills: Developing a strong understanding of color theory, texture, and visual composition.

Advanced Skill Development

For more experienced students, we offer the opportunity to dive deeper into their specific areas of interest. Whether it’s mastering advanced mixed-media projects, focusing on large-scale projects, or refining professional techniques, advanced campers receive specialized mentorship to elevate their particular skillset.

Health & Well-being

While we love the creative process, we prioritize our students' physical health. To ensure students aren't sitting at a desk or hunched all day, we incorporate regular stretch breaks throughout the day. These breaks are essential for keeping students refreshed, active, and energized while they create.

Taking Work Home

We want students to be able to share their progress and creativity. Campers will have the opportunity to take their finished projects home throughout the week as they complete them, or they can choose to take their entire collection home at the end of the week.

Advanced Teen Internships

Experienced teen studio artists’ (15+) can apply to be a Visual Arts Intern. You’ll work with our staff to help campers in this camp and more.
